·       More efficient, effective, and timely management of grievances.
·       A top-to-bottom review of the union to create a strategic plan for the mission, vision and structure of the organization.
·       A proactive union:  Instead of waiting until we are harmed to file lawsuits and grievances, our vision should be driving debates that shape education policy.
·       More intentional efforts to hear from ALL members about issues related to the union and our schools.
·       Improved engagement and support for our members at non-traditional schools.
·       Strengthening the bonds between our active members and the retired members who built the union in order to keep it strong.
·       Modernizing the union including better use of technology in the office and in external communication.
·       Engagement with our opponents as well as our friends.
·       More inclusive, transparent processes for contract negotiations, membership meetings, and the creation of union policy.
·       A student, family, and community engagement process to inform our contract negotiations.
·       Consideration of term limits and other policies that promote a culture of democracy and full rank-and-file participation.
